From films produced in Asia (including the Middle East) which hosts the most vibrant film industry in the world at present, fine works are selected for screening. “Winds of Asia–Middle East” promotes exchange with the Japanese film industry as well as contributing to the development of the Asian film industry. |

“Japanese Eyes” showcases the vibrancy and depth of the Japanese film industry both at home and overseas. Noting the diversity of Japanese films, new films are selected by various “eyes” without favoring any particular genres and types. |

This brand-new section introduces new works mainly from Europe and America, which have been drawing worldwide attention. Excellent works with high appraisal at international film festivals as well as latest works of distinguished directors will be screened for the first time in Japan. |

Tokyo has been filmed in a wide variety of films after the war to date. In an attempt to re-discover through scenes in films what have changed over time and what have not, works which are set in Tokyo are selected for screening. |
